Today in our small town of Lafayette, Oregon the totally volunteer fire department, along with some other volunteers from neighboring cities, lite up an old building as a training exercise. We stoped by for a few minutes on our way out to the coast to see what our neighbor’s were up to.
Here is a picture of the build on fire with a sign in front of city hall asking for more volunteer firemen.
This is a picture of our neighbor and friend Luke at the door guiding the fire hose into the house. He hopes, someday, to man the nozzle and spray water on the fire.
