I went to a book signing on Tuesday Aug 5th — it was at Powell’s book store. Now if you have ever been to Powell’s you would have to agree that it is perhaps the biggest book store you have ever been in. But that’s the one downtown. We went to the Powell’s in Beaverton. But, if you have never been to the Powell’s in downtown Portland you got to go!!!
Alicia started reading books by this author Lisa Gardner. She writes murder mystery novels and I guess she does a really good job at it. New York times best seller and all. It turns out she grew up here in the area, Hillsboro. She now lives on the east coast up north somewhere. She comes to town about once a year to go to the Tillamook Fair. I guess she has fond memories of going there when she was young and makes it as much as she can with her family.
Below are a couple of pic’s I took at her book signing. She did a great job describing her new book “Say Goodbye” and talked about how she got her ideas about writing it. She also went over some of the things she does for researching her MURDER mystery stories – all very interesting…
