After Work Shoot

The weather in Portland, Oregon is getting cold and the days are getting shorter as we go into the later part of the year.  Having a somewhat warm and partly sunny day this time of year is rare so you grab what time you can, even if its during the week.

Daniel had posted using the social media methods a “last minute” request to shoot later Wednesday right after work but a little to late to get any takers.  Since Thursday looked like the last good day weather wise for the near term he tried again to set up a last minute shoot.  Luckily we did get some takers to come by and model.  We all agreed to meet at the north end of the Pearl District by Tanner Park at about 3:30 pm and then see where that would take us.  I was surprised at the number of photog’s in the area that evening, seemed that we all had the same idea –  get in one last shoot before the cold weather set’s in.

Daniel get a couple of The Living Dead Girls to come by for the shoot.  It was a spur of the moment idea so not much planning, just setting up what ever we came up with and shoot and see what we got.  Below are some shot’s from that evening.

Mostly working with a main light and a key light for the first few and then I tried some shots with a grid on a speedlight to get some shadowy effects. No, that’s not red eye, she is wearing red contact lens.
